Job summary

SGS is seeking a Welding Inspector for a one-month contract with potential extension to perform dimensional and visual inspections on metal parts, verify against drawings, and document results. The inspector will use simple equipment provided by the client and may complete paperwork including inspection reports.

Requirements include 5–10 years of welding inspection experience, AWS CWI or API 510 certification, and strong communication with welders and engineers.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI or API 510 certification required.
• 5–10 years welding inspection experience in QA/vendor surveillance.
• Oil & gas / power / utility / construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections, visual inspections, and marking verifications on metal parts.
• Verify parts against drawings using provided gauges and record results.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and document non-conformities.
