Job summary

Marquardt GmbH is seeking a Validation Engineer (temporary) to join the R&D team in Cazenovia, NY. You will validate electrical, mechanical, and environmental aspects of electro-mechanical switch products, coordinating tests across labs and documenting results for the development team and customers.

The role requires a degree in electrical/mechatronics/mechanical engineering, strong communication skills, and experience reading drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of automotive experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience reading technical drawings and engineering specs.
• Experience with project planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product reviews and define testing scope based on specs.
• Prepare and document test specifications from qualification plans.
• Plan and schedule lab testing activities and manage resources and costs.
• Prepare electrical test fixtures, test boxes, and software for testing activities.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical and environmental tests on electro-mechanical switch products.
• Document, analyze and report test results to the development team and customer.
• Coordinate tests at external labs or other Marquardt labs.
• Develop work instructions for testing procedures and methods.
