Job summary

Marquardt U.S. is searching for a Validation Technician to join their Research and Development department in Cazenovia, New York. This temporary role will last between 8–12 weeks and includes building test fixtures and conducting various tests on electro-mechanical switch products.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and at least one year of experience in a testing environment. The role offers competitive pay and a variety of benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• Min. 1 year of experience in the test / equipment environment, preferred automotive field.
• Some experience reading technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience in performing measurements using DMM and oscilloscope.

Responsibilities

• Build test fixtures, test boxes, and wire harnesses correctly and accurately.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests of products.
• Document test results according to schedule.

Skills

Basic soldering skills

Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read technical drawings

Basic ability to use soldering irons

Education

Associate/bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
