Job summary

ACRT Pacific seeks experienced Contract Utility Foresters to identify, inspect, and evaluate trees along utility lines, and to coordinate line-clearance crews across Virginia. You will submit client reports with recommendations, and liaise between customers and crews.

The role requires ISA Arborist certification, independent field work, and travel across the state with occasional overnight stays. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year degree in forestry or related field, or 2 years in Utility Vegetation Management.
• ISA Arborist certification required.
• Experience with GIS data collection equipment/software preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work independently in field conditions.

ACRT is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our Contract Utility Forester position is ideal for entry level and seasoned professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work.Our Contract Utility Foresters perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
