Job summary

Covenant House New Jersey is seeking an Employee Trainer & HR Support for a temporary six-week assignment in the Newark area. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and facilitating training programs through virtual and on-site formats, ensuring regulatory compliance and thorough participant assessments.

The position also provides HR administrative support, maintains records, and supports onboarding, background checks, and documentation for interns and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three to five years training related experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communications and presentations skills required.
• Flexible and self-directed teacher with excellent time management skills.
• Strong ability to partner with staff and volunteers throughout Covenant House organization.
• Valid NJ driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and facilitate training programs via virtual and on-site platforms.
• Monitor trainee progress and ensure completion of agency certifications and regulatory training.
• Provide HR admin support and maintain accurate training records.
• Coordinate with CPS standards, compliance requirements, and internal policies.
• Support onboarding, timesheets, and volunteer/intern documentation.
• Assist with organizing organizational events and special activities as needed.
