Part‑Time / Remote or Hybrid / Contract Trademark Paralegal

Summary of Position

The paralegal will support attorneys in trademark filings and file maintenance, trademark docketing, notarization and legalization of documents, client correspondence, and other transactional matters. This is a part‑time/contract (non‑employee) remote or hybrid position. Weekly hours will likely range between 10-15.

Experience Required

At least three to five years of trademark‑related experience as a paralegal with a private law firm between 10 and 50 attorneys or with a company. Must be proficient with MS Office 2016 or later (including Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) and WebTMS docketing software. Paralegal certificate not required, but preferred. Candidate is expected to be a team player, working with other trademark paralegals, staff, and attorneys, and function at a very high professional level, be a self‑starter, and understand that he or she is expected to take ownership of projects assigned.

Compensation

Paralegal will work on an hourly, contract basis to be negotiated.

Key Tasks

• Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, renewals, statements of use, and other trademark related filings.
• Docket and manage all trademark filing deadlines and key events through WebTMS online trademark file maintenance and management program and update trademark attorneys on upcoming deadlines.
• Draft correspondence to foreign counsel regarding trademark matters.
• Support trademark attorneys in communicating key deadlines and events to client trademark holders.
