Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Materials Handler for our Redwood City, CA site. The role supports manufacturing by receiving, locating, moving, and tracking materials, and operating RF scanners and forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, shipping/receiving, data entry in SAP ERP/WMS/Excel, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow. This is a contract-to-hire, on-site position with overtime and possible Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver's license.
• Sit-down forklift training or 13+ years experience.
• Experience operating sit-down/stand-up/order pickers and forklifts.
• Operate power industrial equipment safely.
• Data entry and SAP ERP, WMS, Excel proficiency.
• Experience with inventory control processes.
• RF scanners for material transactions.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Cross-functional team collaboration.
• Multi-tasking and adaptability.
• Overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and locate incoming materials.
• Scrap, store, and transport materials to locations.
• Execute material picks and validate orders.
• Pack, load, and unload to/from trucks and storage.
• Record material movements in systems and documentation.
• Operate power equipment safely (tuggers, forklifts, order pickers).
• Complete daily inspections on equipment and note issues.
• Use RF Smart scanners for inventory tracking.
• Maintain equipment and safety check sheets.
• Notify supervisors of problems with operations or materials.
• Support inventory control: cycle counts, shipping/receiving, data entry (SAP/WMS/Excel).
• Provide responsive internal customer service and cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist in other warehouse areas and work overtime as needed.
• Occasional Saturdays when production increases.
