Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Kansas City, MO seeks an Assistant Applications Specialist (Data & AI Analyst) for a 6-month contract-to-hire. You will collaborate with internal customers to translate data, automation, and reporting needs into practical solutions using SQL, Python, and AI tooling.

You will write and optimize SQL, develop automations, and help deploy AI-powered dashboards and reports. The role requires strong analytics, basic data modeling, and good communication within a collaborative

Qualifications

1-5 years of relevant data analyst or automation experience.
Strong SQL and basic data modeling knowledge.
Proficiency in Python; AI coding/agent tool experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Partner with internal customers to understand data, automation, and reporting needs and translate them into working solutions.
Use AI tools to prompt effectively, build automations, and stand up AI agents for real business problems.
Write and optimize SQL for data analysis, reporting, and light data modeling.
Apply basic Python scripting with AI tool support to build automation and analyses.
Collaborate with developers to scale and operationalize prototype apps.
