Job summary

CTI Staffing is partnering with a well‑established life sciences manufacturing organization to fill a Lead IT Engineer role in Bloomington, IN. This hands‑on technical leadership position sits in a regulated setting and serves as the final escalation point for infrastructure issues, owning release processes and shaping roadmaps for on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will mentor senior engineers, manage patching and security, and participate in 24/7 on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in progressive IT infrastructure roles, including 2+ years in a lead or senior capacity.
• We are seeking hands‑on expertise with Azure IaaS/PaaS and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM processes including change, release, and CMDB.
• Strong firewall/LAN/WAN and wireless networking experience.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• US citizen able to work onsite in Bloomington, IN.

Responsibilities

• Act as the top escalation point for infrastructure incidents, outages, and vendor escalations.
• Run major incident response and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Own incident, request, change, release, and CMDB processes in ServiceNow.
• Oversee patching and maintenance for validated and non‑validated systems with QA and compliance.
• Guide firewall, network segmentation, and identity security (SSO, MFA, Zero Trust).
• Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps across on‑prem, Azure, and AWS.
• Lead BCP and disaster recovery testing and vulnerability remediation.
• Mentor senior engineers and work with offshore support teams.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role in a regulated environment. You will be the final escalation point for infrastructure issues, own change and release processes, and help shape the roadmap across on‑prem and cloud. It is a contract-to-hire role with a clear path to a permanent seat.

Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have

• 5+ years in progressive IT infrastructure roles, including 2+ years in a lead or senior capacity
  
• Hands‑on Azure (IaaS/PaaS) and Microsoft 365
  
• ServiceNow or similar ITSM, including change, release, and CMDB
  
• Firewall, LAN/WAN, and wireless experience (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar)
  
• Willingness to join a 24/7 on‑call rotation
  
• US citizen, able to work fully onsite in Bloomington, IN
  

Nice-to-Have

• GMP or 21 CFR Part 11 validated‑systems experience
  
• Veeam, MS SQL, SAN/NAS, and Ubiquiti
  
• SD‑WAN and Infrastructure as Code
  
• Operational technology or lab systems exposure
  
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or equivalent experience
