Job summary

Great American Insurance Group, a leader in surety bonding, seeks a Contract Surety Underwriter for our Atlanta office. The role includes in-office work and travel within the assigned territory.

You will analyze reports, assess risk, develop relationships, and deliver service with integrity while staying current on market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Field of Study: Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze reports utilized in the underwriting processes, including financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports.
• Assess risk quality in compliance with company's best practices.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships, both internal and external.
• Communicate effectively.
• Be highly organized to handle a variety of responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Make timely, informed decisions.
• Operate with integrity and honesty.
• Hold themself accountable for achieving established objectives.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to support business goals.
• Stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
