Job summary

Contechs Consulting Limited in Troy, MI seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for Exterior and Closures to lead supplier quality activities across stamping, plastics, seals and assemblies. You will manage APQP, supplier scorecards, and drive improvements with internal teams to meet program milestones.

The role requires 5+ years in supplier quality, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment. This contract role offers exposure to cutting-edge EV exterior systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or eq./relevant experience.
• 5+ years in supplier quality incl. audits, APQP, lean problem-solving, and leadership.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with stamping, plastics, seals, lighting, glass, latches, etc.
• Identify process issues and drive improvements for quality.
• Knowledge of supplier KPI/scorecard development and implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on GD&T and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Administer APQP process and hold suppliers to Quality Requirements Manual.
• Develop/implement supplier KPI/scorecards and improve supplier performance.
• Evaluate suppliers for production awards and strengthen supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support company objectives and values.
