Job summary

ON GRID INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LLC is seeking an Ohio Stationary Engineer for a 6–8 month contract in Ashtabula, OH. The role focuses on operating gas turbines, heat recovery boilers and associated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation.

The ideal candidate will hold an Ohio High Pressure Operator's License or higher, possess strong knowledge of turbine and boiler systems, and be able to read blueprints and schematics. Shift work and demanding environments are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.
• Valid Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator license required by local regulations.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbines, boiler systems, combustion processes and water treatment.
• Familiarity with computerized control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas turbines, heat recovery boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor pressure, temperature and fuel consumption to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed.
• Record and analyze equipment performance data and adjust controls.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies and codes.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and system failures promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors and facility personnel for repairs and upgrades.
• Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs and system performance.
