Job summary

Spindle is seeking a contract Special Education Teacher to support TK, Kindergarten and 1st grade students in a well-supported classroom near San Leandro, CA. This full-time position runs August 13, 2026 through June 4, 2027.

Join a collaborative team of paraprofessionals, provide differentiated instruction, develop IEP goals, and maintain compliance. Compensation is $40-$55 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active California Moderate/Severe Special Education teaching credentials (required).
• Experience in special education with TK, Kindergarten or 1st grade populations.
• Strong communication with students, families, and educators.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs of all students in the classroom.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administration to support student success.
• Develop and implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and maintain compliance with documentation requirements.
• Create an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom where every child's strengths are celebrated.
• Actively participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development.
