Qualifications

  • Skilled in negotiation, bid evaluation, written/verbal communication, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to interpret regulations, exercise independent judgment, and proactively resolve problems.
  • Valid driver''s license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days).

Responsibilities

  • Develop solicitations, contracts, and amendments; evaluate bidder information.
  • Coordinate and facilitate procurement meetings (kick-offs, pre-proposal, post-award, evaluations).
  • Coordinate contract negotiations and recommend annual awards.
  • Prepare bid specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve non-compliance issues; recommend contract cancellation/termination when needed.
  • Monitor contract performance, billings, and fiscal data for policy compliance.
  • Track legal/regulatory requirements and perform quality control reviews.
  • Provide training and technical guidance on contract policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate risk assessment and audit processes for contract monitoring.
  • Evaluate expenditure data and project fund usage.
  • Prepare and present reports to management.
  • Maintain contract management database.

Job description

We are working with a successful Government Agency in Austin, Texas, to find a Contract Specialist to join a small team. This is a contract position. You must be based in Austin or able to commute to Austin. This position is on-site Monday through Friday.
