Job summary

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Contract Specialist (NH-1102-03) to work at MacDill AFB, FL. USSOCOM is hiring an experienced 1102 Contract Specialist at MacDill AFB, FL (SOF AT&L). Lead full-life-lifecycle, high-dollar acquisitions delivering cutting-edge tech, tactical systems, and R&D directly to Special Operations Forces.

Salary $89,508 - $138,370

No telework or remote work authorized

Permanent position

Relocation may be authorized

• 5–10 years federal contracting experience (FAR/DFARS mastery)

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance required.
• Knowledge of government and agency specific guidelines and business practices, including statutes, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of contracting negotiation, administration and termination principles, policies, procedures and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types.
• Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
• Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to acquisition requirements; of assigned contracting and procurement specializations and applicable contract types; and of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis and resolution of complex contracting problems.
• Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
