Job summary

Progressive is seeking a procurement professional to manage complex contracts and bids, ensuring timely delivery and favorable terms. You will review supplier proposals, perform total cost modeling, draft and negotiate contract terms, and support lifecycle management from request to closeout across utility, energy, and construction projects.

You will partner with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams, uphold company policies, and minimize risk while driving quality and cost

Qualifications

  • Strong contract knowledge including drafting or editing terms and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex purchase requisitions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience in utility, energy, or construction sector preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review business unit scope documents on complex bids and initiates requests for proposals.
  • Provides analysis of supplier proposals, total cost modeling, and recommendation for award in conjunction with business unit.
  • Demonstrates strong contract knowledge including writing or editing terms and negotiating skills.
  • Prioritizes requisitions to ensure equipment, material and services are obtained in a timely fashion with an emphasis on quality, cost and availability.
  • Independently analyzes complex purchase requisitions and determines trends which could potentially lead to improved processes.
  • Issues purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including EPC agreements, construction contracts, service agreements, NDAs, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Support contract lifecycle management from initial request through negotiation, execution, compliance tracking, and closeout.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify commercial, legal, and operational risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Assist project managers, procurement, and engineering teams with interpretation of contract language and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all contract documents comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate standards applicable to the utility, energy, and construction sectors.
