Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract to full-time role at a Salem, OR location. The teacher will provide services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, a valid state teaching certificate, and preferred endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1). Additional health and background requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• CPR certification and health requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Collaborate with Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutoring, and consultation.
