Job summary

Frogslayer is a custom software development firm that rescues stalled projects and builds scalable software solutions for mid-market companies. The role is 80-90% hands-on coding, focusing on implementing features, debugging, and collaborating with other developers.

You will work with a small team, estimate work, and communicate progress to project leads. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and daily coordination between 8am and 6pm CT.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
• Clear, proactive communication about progress and challenges.

• Quick learner of new technologies and frameworks.
• Strong fundamentals and best practices in software development.
• Familiarity with version control and collaboration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom software solutions with heavy coding responsibilities.
• Write code to implement features and modules according to project specifications.
• Debug code and resolve technical problems.
• Research solutions to technical problems and implement appropriate approaches.
• Test work and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with other developers on features or project deliverables.
• Estimate work required to implement features or modules.
• Communicate with project team regarding progress of key tasks or technical issues.
• Assist in creation of design documents and technical artifacts as needed.
• Maintain minimum 20 hours per week and coordinate during 8am-6pm CT with team leads.
