Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) seeks a Principal Engineer to lead embedded software development for on-vehicle applications in Oshkosh, WI.

The role focuses on real-time systems, C/C++, and MATLAB-generated code, and requires deep design and integration responsibilities. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software for AUTOSAR/RTOS platforms in a contract setting.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with five or more years of related experience.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completion of a project or part of a project of moderate complexity on time.
• May be responsible for overall project schedule and budget.
• May be responsible for managing multiple priorities.
• Perform more complex engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams and suppliers.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers.
• Design, implement and document real-time embedded software written in C/C++, MATLAB autogenerated.
• Follow good software practices including version control and change control.
