Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is hiring a Sr Accountant on a 6-month contract in San Mateo, CA. The role focuses on Fixed Assets, Leases and Intangible Assets, with business partnering across IT, Facilities and Corporate Planning to improve processes and close accuracy.

You will oversee month-end close, implement process improvements, and manage an outsourced team while ensuring IFRS compliance and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• CPA/CA or similar preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and Intangible Assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fixed Assets, CIP, Leases and Intangible Assets accounting.
• Partner with business units to understand capital expenditures and lease changes.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting on deliverables and timelines.
• Ensure IFRS compliance (IAS 16, IAS 38, IFRS 16, IAS 36) and controls.
