Job summary

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions, a for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is hiring a Contract Registered Nurse for the EP Lab in Spring Hill. This 13-week assignment requires a Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and 1 year in the Cath Lab, with potential extensions based on team coverage.

The Nurse will provide direct care during cardiac/interventional radiology procedures, perform assessments, monitor vitals, administer meds, and document patient data, including CPR

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree of Nursing required.
• Current FL RN license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Cath Lab; two years in specific division preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care during cardiac/interventional radiology procedures using the nursing process.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications as instructed, and document patient status in medical records.
• Perform CPR and defibrillation as life-saving actions per protocol; monitor patients during Conscious Sedation.
• Assist with procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty and stent placement as directed.

Provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation during the cardiac/interventional radiology procedures. Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Hospital. Performs under the supervision of the Department Director and Nursing Director. The Cath Lab/IR Nurse conducts patient assessment duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications as instructed by the physician. Also keeps patient records, updates charts or for the medical procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory/Interventional Radiology. Also will help during life saving actions such as CPR and defibrillation. Monitors patient during Conscious Sedation per physician instructions. Administered medication during advance interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, stent placement.

Education: Associate's Degree of Nursing Minimum

Licenses/Certifications: FL RN license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Minimum 1 year experience in the Cath Lab.
