Job summary

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions, a division of Tampa General Hospital, seeks a Contract Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab in Crystal River, FL. This 13-week assignment offers higher base pay and benefits with potential extensions.

Candidates must have a Florida RN license, Cath Lab experience, and current BLS/ACLS (PALS/NIHSS where required). Full-time schedule with on-site days.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience in the division.
• Must hold current FL RN license.
• Must have and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS for ER/PACU). NIHSS required.
• Must have previous Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performs patient tests and administers medications within RN scope.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.

Interhealth is currently hiring for 13-week contracts with significantly higher base pay and benefits for purchase. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently.

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

• Must have a minimum of one year of related work experience and be deemed competent.
• Must have current FL RN license.
• Must have and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Seasonal RNs assigned to the Emergency Room or PACU must also have PALS. NIHSS Required.
• Must have previous Cath Lab experience.
