Corporate Recruiter – Manufacturing and Operations
Pay: $40–$44 per hour
Employment Type: Contract with potential to become permanent
Potential Permanent Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: Onsite five days per week for the first 30 days; hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote thereafter
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Recruiter to manage full-cycle hiring for manufacturing and operations positions. This role will support high-volume recruitment efforts across multiple facilities, with a primary focus on hourly production and operations talent, including machine operators and other manufacturing personnel.
The ideal candidate has experience recruiting within manufacturing, industrial, plant, or facility environments and is comfortable managing multiple openings in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding
- Recruit for hourly manufacturing, production, operations, and skilled labor positions
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies to identify active and passive candidates
- Build and maintain qualified candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, Circa, job boards, networking platforms, and other channels
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, establish expectations, and provide regular updates
- Advise hiring teams regarding candidate selection, job alignment, and competitive compensation
- Provide candidates with timely communication and a positive experience throughout the hiring process
- Maintain accurate candidate records and activity within the applicant tracking system
- Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, candidate quality, pipeline effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates
- Use recruiting data to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Support fair and inclusive hiring practices throughout the recruitment process
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEOC and OFCCP requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Previous recruiting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or growing organization
- Manufacturing, industrial, production, plant, or operations recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing full-cycle and high-volume recruitment
- Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and other recruitment tools
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system; Greenhouse experience is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and internal stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work onsite in Somerville five days per week during the first 30 days and three days per week thereafter
