Job summary

Perdue Foods, part of Perdue Farms, seeks a Contract Recruiter to support the Skilled and Administrative Technical Team. The role is remote with preference for East Coast sitters, and up to 10% travel may be required.

You will manage full life cycle recruiting for hourly to skilled positions, build relationships with hiring managers, and drive candidate pipelines using multiple sourcing tools while ensuring OFCCP compliance and strong data integrity in our ATS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of recruiting experience for non-exempt/exempt roles.
• Experience with HR databases, ATS and candidate management systems.
• Comfort sourcing passive candidates using job boards and networks.
• Familiarity with OFCCP/AAP compliance and recruiting best practices.

We are recruiting for a Contract Recruiter to support the Skilled and Administrative Technical Team for Perdue Farms. This person will be responsible for hiring top talent, building and sustaining solid relationships with hiring managers and fulfilling talent acquisition needs by managing the full life cycle recruiting process in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

This position is remote with preference for candidates that sit on the East Coast and ideally within the DELMARVA (Delaware, Maryland and Virginia) region. Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Principle and Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage full life cycle recruiting to support hourly, non-exempt positions for specialized and skilled functions throughout the organization including but not limited to, Maintenance and Reliability, Wastewater, Production Support, Wellness, Human Resources, etc. This includes requisition creation, sourcing, resume review, candidate pre-screening, managing logistics of hiring team interviews, offer creation/extension and pre-employment tasks for candidates.
• Create search strategies to identify and attract the highest caliber of talent.
• Utilize various sourcing tools to identify and connect with potential candidates on job boards, professional networks, social media, Boolean search, etc.
• Work across the organization with key stakeholders such as Hiring Managers, Human Resources, Compensation, Learning and Development and the Business to ensure a superior client and candidate experience.
• Maintain a high level of data integrity within our candidate database (Applicant Tracking System) and reporting.
• Assist with the development and execution of specialized and skilled trades recruitment programs (campus, military based, etc.)
• Achieve measurable results that demonstrate improvement in hiring ration, i.e. applicants vs. hires, and ensure all required paperwork and documents are completed including application, references, background checks, etc. in accordance with OFCCP standards.
• Stay current on market trends, diversity recruiting, and utilize data to perform analyses to identify current and future talent needs.
• Participate in career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting activities.
• Promote Perdue's employer brand online and offline .
• Support the Talent Acquisition leaders in strategic hiring initiatives as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, related field of study or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of professional level recruiting experience for non-exempt and/or exempt level employees
• Experience working with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems
• Comfortability with sourcing passive candidates and utilizing various sourcing tools (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Exposure to AAP requirements as it applies to the recruitment, interviewing, selection process.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and sourcing strategies.
• Ability to multi-task and organize multiple protocols and projects with competing demands on schedule.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and resolve problems at a functional level.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate to various levels of the organization to provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of and a commitment to team performance.
• Ability to positively represent Perdue and our career opportunities to potential candidates.

Experience Preferred:

• Non-exempt recruiting experience for a variety of specialized or skill trades functions (Maintenance and Reliability/Skilled Trades, Wastewater, Production Support, Wellness, Human Resources, etc.) or familiarity with skill sets associated with these business functions.
• Manufacturing/industrial recruiting experience.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Position is remotely home-office based, preferably with close proximity to an airport, with anticipated travel 30% of the time and with flexibility.
• Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
