Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, through InterHealth Staffing, is seeking a Contract Radiology Tech to join the on-site imaging team at the TGH Main Campus in Tampa. The role requires performing radiographic procedures under supervision with independent judgment and ensuring patient care.

Qualifications include an accredited Radiologic Technology program graduate, ARRT registration, Florida licensure, current BLS, and at least 1 year of hospital imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered ARRT.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Florida Licensure as Radiologic Technologist by State of Florida.
• 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager with minimal supervision.
• Execute a wide variety of general radiographic procedures including complex portables, Trauma Alerts unassisted, and complex Fluoroscopy.
• Conduct sterile contrast studies (where applicable) and basic C-arm procedures with independence.
• Assess patient age-specific needs and adjust technique to ensure diagnostic quality and patient safety.
• Take responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required and maintain compliance with Tampa General Hospital imaging protocols.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager performs radiographicprocedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technicaldetail. Performs a wide variety of general radiographic procedures including but not limited to, complex portables, Trauma Alerts unassisted,complex Fluoroscopy, Basic C-arm, and sterile contrast studies. All technical procedures will require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiativeto apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Assess the age-specific needs of the patients. Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
