Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL seeks a CT Technologist 2 for the OP Imaging STC to perform Computed Tomography procedures and related imaging duties. This role requires independent judgment, on-site work, and preceptorship within the department.

Responsibilities include executing CT, portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest radiographs, assisting with policy implementation and quality assurance while maintaining alignment with hospital mission and values. Full-time schedule Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT Registry or ARDMS CT Registry required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year progressive responsibility in CT imaging

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Assist manager with policy implementation and QA activities; act as preceptor
• Operate a variety of CT-related modalities and maintain equipment readiness

Description

The CT Tech 2 is accountable for performing Computed Tomography procedures, which produce high quality diagnostic films. Works on a level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of procedures for CT, including but not limited to basic portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest x-rays, basic computer skills, biopsies, drainage, trauma alerts, core CT, CT advanced level recons, neurovascular CTA , IV skills and QA maintenance. Assists manager with the implementation of policy and procedures, interdepartmental committee involvement and is a preceptor for the department. These procedures require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative when utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

• Degree: Radiologic Technology
• Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as an Radiation Therapy (RT), Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Radiography (R) Or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) CT Registry required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One (1) year progressive responsibility within a CT diagnostic imaging department.
