Job summary

KLA Industries in Lake Forest, IL seeks a contract X-ray Technologist to perform general x-rays for Rheumatology, Orthopedics and Spine. You will position patients and equipment, adjust technical factors, and produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist standards in a safe, timely manner.

Requirements include reading, writing and speaking English, CPR/BLS, ARRT RT(R), IEMA, and 1+ year of experience. Hours are Monday–Friday with 8-hour shifts in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure information is obtained and presented accurately.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment.
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and families, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry.
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and equipment and select technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards in a safe, timely manner.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
