Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Quality Automation Engineer (Python, SQL & API) on a 6-Month Contract in Plano, TX. Hybrid work — Wednesdays mandatory — with a pay rate of $58/hour W2. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST.

You will develop automated tests for enterprise financial applications and collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and compliance teams. The candidate should have 3+ years in QA/SDET, strong Python and Pytest skills, SQL mastery, API testing experience,

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum hands-on software quality assurance, test automation, or SDET experience.
• Strong Python and Pytest automation skills.
• Familiarity with FastAPI and Python-based backend services.
• Advanced SQL with complex joins, subqueries, aggregations and data validation.
• Experience testing financial/aplications in regulated environments.
• Hands-on REST API testing and backend integrations.
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal control testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Python and pytest for backend apps, APIs, and financial workflows.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and nonfunctional testing.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate financial calculations and reconciliations.
• Perform REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Validate transaction lifecycles, approvals, exceptions, and status changes.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and compliance teams to resolve defects and improve coverage.
