Regional Client in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Temp Proofreader to join our on-call, on-site team. The role focuses on proofreading advertising collateral, ensuring grammar, style, and content comply with client requirements and regulations.

The ideal candidate has experience reviewing complex materials with attention to detail, and is proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Collaboration with traffic managers and graphic designers is essential for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Journalism or Communications
• Minimum 2+ years of professional proofreading experience, preferably in advertising agency
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, re-prioritize and adhere to deadlines
• Excellent planning and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and context
• Accuracy of references and other data
• Compliance with client, brand and regulatory guidelines
• Consistency and accuracy of layout components
• Overall sense, continuity, consistency, clarity and presentation
• Ensures all deadlines are met
• Interacts with the Account and Creative teams to resolve issues, negotiate revisions and verify information whenever necessary
• Ability to accurately review complex materials with excellent attention to detail
• Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent project management skills, highly organized and ability to multitask effectively, without losing accuracy or detail-orientation
• Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills
• Operates effectively and with flexibility in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Must have background in and knowledge of advertising/marketing collateral
