BizTek People, Inc. | APA International Placement Consultants is seeking a Contract Buyer to support procurement for operations, maintenance, and capital projects in Las Vegas, NV.

The role manages sourcing from requisition through contract execution, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and risk control. Responsibilities include evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating terms, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating internal reviews to ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, finance or related field is required.
• Three+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, including contract work, or equivalent.
• Experience with competitive solicitations, supplier proposal analysis, and PO issuance.
• Familiarity with ERP/Purchasing modules and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize requisitions to meet timeliness, quality, and cost targets.
• Review scope documents and commercial requirements; resolve gaps before sourcing.
• Source materials and services via competitive or noncompetitive processes.
• Prepare procurement docs: bids, analyses, contracts, and files.
• Create sourcing events in ERP systems and manage communications with suppliers.
• Coordinate evaluations; analyze proposals, pricing, and total cost.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and conditions for award and execution.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders and supplier agreements.
• Coordinate internal reviews (legal, risk, finance) and ensure docs and insurance.
• Resolve supplier issues; document corrective actions and resolutions.
• Monitor procurement activities and report status to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Maintain accurate procurement files and support audits and compliance.
• Build relationships with business units and suppliers at all levels.
• Produce management reports and project documentation as needed.
• Perform additional duties and adhere to safety and company policies.
