Job summary

Vesuvius in Kentucky is seeking a Process Engineer for a 12–18‑month contract to lead the industrialization of new products, processes, and equipment into manufacturing. You will drive on-time, on-budget execution with a focus on quality, safety, and performance.

The role requires strong process management, problem-solving, and collaboration with R&D, design, and operations to ensure manufacturability and scalability. Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validation and lean/Six Sigma methods is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrialization, process engineering, or project management in manufacturing.
• Experience with equipment installation, process validation, and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement tools.
• Proficient in CAD, project management tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization projects from concept through production and transfer to manufacturing.
• Define scope, schedules, and resource plans; coordinate across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain.
• Manage equipment design, installation, validation, and ramp-up phases.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all stages.
