Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Gainesville, GA seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with a potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8:00am – 4:45pm, Monday to Friday, with an initial 3-month duration.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and ensuring proper transport and handling per protocol. Requires phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously as required.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge and freeze as needed.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
