Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Gainesville, GA. The position includes blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data entry and adherence to safety protocols. The job supports ongoing training and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, communicating the venipuncture process clearly to patients, and ensuring specimen integrity during transport and storage. Experience in a fast-paced lab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures and protocols.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in department trainings.
