Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC in Owasso, OK seeks a Phlebotomist (Contract) to perform blood collection, labeling, and specimen handling in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen processing, and communication with staff while adhering to OSHA guidelines. Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification are required; MS Office proficiency desired.

Qualifications

• Must have valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure match of requisitions to specimens and proper labeling.
