The Legacy Realty LLC is seeking a qualified Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support visually impaired students in San Marcos, TX. This contract position focuses on designing and implementing mobility programs in educational settings.

You will assess mobility needs, create tailored instructional plans, and deliver training in school and community environments while collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers.

Qualifications

• Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist with licensure.
• Experience assessing students' mobility needs.
• Knowledge of safe travel techniques using canes and aids.
• Experience collaborating with educational teams, families and providers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine OMS needs.
• Design individualized training to improve independence and safety.
• Deliver instruction in school and community settings.
• Document progress and collaborate with teachers, therapists and families.
