Job summary
Hillsborough County Aviation Authority–Tampa International Airport is seeking a Network Engineer I for installing and configuring switches, routers, and firewalls to keep our 24/7 network services reliable. This temporary contractor role spans approximately 12 months and requires availability for emergency call-in and rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field is required.
- 2+ years IT experience in advanced network support including switches/routers/firewalls.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure networking hardware and software components (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Design, build, and implement LAN/WAN infrastructure to support organizational needs.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve common network issues to ensure performance and reliability.
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of network systems and applications.
