Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a 1099-Contract Investigator to conduct federal background investigations as part of national security and suitability efforts. Responsibilities include fieldwork, interviews, and records collection to prepare ROIs in compliance with laws and federal standards.

The role may require travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility, including possible TDY assignments, with deadlines set by ADC LTD NM.

Qualifications

• Conduct fieldwork, including interviews and record retrieval, to produce reports of investigations (ROIs) in compliance with all laws, federal standards, and federal agency regulations.
• Accept fieldwork assignments for travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility; TDY possible outside area.
• Meet investigative deadlines as assigned by ADC LTD NM.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills and exhibit professional demeanor in a time-sensitive work environment.
• Monitoring, maintaining, conveying and appropriately destroying data and documents in compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field interviews and retrieve records to produce ROIs.
• Travel as required within the geographic area of responsibility; TDY as needed.
• Meet deadlines and deliver reports on time.
• Maintain security, credentialing and training compliance throughout assignments.
• Build professional relationships with ADC personnel and contractors.
• Report trends and field updates to leadership.
• Perform other duties as required by the role.
