Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a 1099-Contract Investigator to conduct federal background investigations on a contract basis in support of national security and suitability efforts.

You will perform fieldwork, including interviews and records retrieval, to produce ROIs and travel as needed to cover assigned geographic areas, while meeting deadlines and maintaining professional communication in a time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Fieldwork includes interviews and retrieval of records to produce ROIs in compliance with laws and federal standards.
• Willing to travel and accept TDY assignments outside the geographic area.
• Meet investigative deadlines and maintain professional communication in a time-sensitive environment.
• Maintain data handling to meet government and industry standards for quality, integrity, timeliness and productivity.
• Comply with training, security, and credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork, including interviews and retrieval of records, to produce reports of investigations (ROIs) in compliance with all laws, federal standards, and federal agency regulations.
• Accept fieldwork assignments for travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility.
• Meet investigative deadlines as assigned by ADC LTD NM.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills and exhibit professional demeanor in a time-sensitive work environment.
• Monitor, maintain, convey and appropriately destroy data and documents.
• Develop and maintain professional, courteous, and cooperative working relationships with ADC employees and contractors.
• Report trends and updates to work environment observed in the field.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
