Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a 1099-Contract Investigator to conduct federal background investigations on a contract basis in support of national security and suitability investigations.

You will perform field interviews, collect records, and prepare ROIs in compliance with applicable laws and agency regulations, with travel across the geographic area of responsibility and potential TDY assignments. Strong communication and timely reporting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork, including interviews and retrieval of records, to produce reports of investigations in compliance with laws, federal standards, and agency regulations.
• Accept fieldwork assignments for travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility with TDY opportunities outside assigned area.
• Meet investigative deadlines as assigned by ADC LTD NM.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills and maintain professional demeanor in a time-sensitive work environment.
• Monitor, maintain, convey and appropriately destroy data and documents; meet government and industry standards for quality, integrity, timeliness and productivity.
