Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a 1099-Contract Investigator Technician to conduct record checks for federal background investigations on a contract basis in support of national security and suitability matters.

You will perform fieldwork to retrieve records, produce reports of investigations, and travel as required within the geographic area of responsibility. Expect TDY opportunities and strict adherence to deadlines, security, and mandatory training standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing investigations and collecting records in compliance with federal standards.
• Ability to travel for fieldwork and accept TDY assignments as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for timely ROI reporting.
• Must maintain professional demeanor in time-sensitive environments.
• Adherence to security, credentialing, and mandatory training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork to retrieve records and produce ROIs per laws and regulations.
• Accept assignments and travel within geographic area of responsibility; TDY possible.
