Job summary

Leoforce in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for a five-month contract to support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms. You will maintain and update current mechanical designs, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation within a fast-paced hardware environment.

The role focuses on entering an established workflow, managing changes through Arena/PDM, and ensuring accuracy of documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience supporting mechanical designs for complex hardware products or systems.
• Strong experience creating and revising mechanical drawings.
• Previous experience with Arena PLM/PDM.
• Experience maintaining BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Hands-on experience with engineering change control and revision management.
• Experience working within a PDM/PLM system; Arena experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to understand and modify existing mechanical designs rather than focusing solely on new concept development.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate engineering documentation.
• Ability to quickly become productive within an established engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support existing power rack designs across multiple hardware platforms.
• Make updates and revisions to existing mechanical designs.
• Create, revise, and maintain mechanical drawings and related engineering documentation.
• Maintain and update top-level assembly (TLA) BOMs.
• Process engineering changes and maintain accurate revision control.
• Manage design and documentation updates within Arena/PDM.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, and product documentation remain accurate and consistent.
• Work within established mechanical designs and product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to implement required changes.
• Support documentation and knowledge transfer during transition periods.
