Job summary

Boston Beer Corporation is seeking a motivated Co-op to support the Supply Chain team with material planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination. Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op to join our Supply Chain team, supporting material planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination processes. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Contract-Manufacturing Planning while working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure materials are available to support production and customer demand. The role provides exposure to core supply chain functions and the systems, processes, and data that drive operational performance.

This position is part of our 6-month Co-op Program, running from January 4, 2027 through June 25, 2027. The role follows a hybrid work model, with team members expected to work three days per week from our Boston Seaport Corporate Office and the remaining days remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Inventory Management

• Support ingredient ordering and monitoring activities to help ensure material availability.
• Support component ordering and monitoring processes for co-manufacturing operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential risks or shortages.
• Assist with maintaining accurate material planning data and inventory records.

Systems & Reporting

• Validate system and report data between third-party planning platforms and internal BBC systems.
• Support reporting activities and analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with maintaining reporting accuracy and data integrity across planning systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service, and third-party manufacturing partners to support planning activities.
• Participate in planning discussions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must continue to be enrolled in school after the completion of their co-op.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in supply chain planning, procurement, or operations.
• Experience with planning or ERP systems is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and supply chain concepts.
