Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive production process control and documentation for Lansing operations. The contractor will develop methods, MBOMs, and work instructions to enable efficient manufacturing of complex assemblies.

The role requires strong CAD review, Teamcenter and MRP proficiency, and experience with defense contracts. Collaboration with engineering, quality, and leadership is essential for project success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Teamcenter and MRP planning.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems; maintain confidentiality.
• Positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with defense contracts and DCMA audits preferred.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing concepts and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; CAD model/drawing review ability.

Responsibilities

• Define and control production processes; sequencing and workflow for complex assemblies.
• Develop detailed work instructions and procedures for existing processes.
• Recommend tooling and equipment for manufacture.
• Develop MBOMs and MBOM structure; understand related changes.
• Interpret design specifications, drawings and test results for manufacturing.
• Understand design release activities and changes impacting MBOM.
• Liaise between engineering and manufacturing facilities; collaborate on major projects.
