Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Lansing, MI to partner with internal and external teams, develop manufacturing methods, and maintain process documentation. This role emphasizes strong communication and cross-functional collaboration to define operation sequences for complex assemblies.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain MBOMs, analyze design specifications, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing concepts, processes and documentation.
• Experience with defense contracts and DCMA audits preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Define and control production processes, workflow and method for complex assemblies.
• Develop detailed work instructions and procedures for existing processes.
• Recommend tooling and equipment to manufacture products.
• Develop MBOMs and work instructions; understand MRP and MBOM structure.
