Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with additional hours as needed
Expected Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week
Salary: $72,000 per year

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking an experienced Armed Contract Manager to oversee daily operations and supervise approximately 8 to 12 security officers in Glenwood Springs.

This position combines team leadership, scheduling, compliance, client communication, quality control, and field support. The Contract Manager will help keep posts properly staffed, ensure officers meet licensing requirements, monitor performance, and address operational issues before they affect service.

The ideal candidate is organized, confident leading personnel, comfortable working with clients, and capable of making sound decisions when staffing or operational issues arise. Armed pistol experience and prior supervisory experience are required.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise and provide direction to approximately 8-12 security officers.
  • Coordinate daily assignments and ensure all required posts remain properly covered.
  • Monitor officer performance, attendance, conduct, and compliance with post orders.
  • Address staffing problems, call-offs, emergencies, and last-minute coverage needs.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective action when performance issues arise.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Operations/District Manager and field personnel.
  • Provide after-hours operational support when staffing or client needs require assistance.
Scheduling & Labor Management
  • Build and maintain weekly and monthly employee schedules using TrackTik.
  • Review employee time entries and help ensure accurate payroll information.
  • Monitor employee hours, overtime, and labor utilization.
  • Forecast staffing needs based on contractual requirements and operational demand.
  • Keep assigned posts staffed according to client agreements and established procedures.
  • Make appropriate staffing adjustments when coverage needs change.
Compliance & Workforce Readiness
  • Track guard cards, licenses, certifications, and other required credentials.
  • Verify officers are properly licensed and qualified for their assigned posts.
  • Maintain accurate personnel and compliance records.
  • Monitor workforce qualification information, including armed status and applicable skills.
  • Coordinate with training personnel regarding new-hire orientation and required on-the-job training.
  • Prevent scheduling of personnel whose required credentials have expired or are otherwise non-compliant.
Client Support & Quality Assurance
  • Serve as a field-level point of contact between the client, officers, and company leadership.
  • Assist with operational site visits and implementation of post orders.
  • Review daily activity reports and incident reports for completeness and compliance.
  • Identify service gaps, staffing risks, and operational concerns and coordinate corrective action.
  • Help configure and maintain guard tours in TrackTik, including NFC tag placement and mapping.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and promptly communicate significant concerns.
Recruitment, Performance & Asset Management
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and evaluate candidates against position requirements.
  • Provide hiring recommendations to company leadership.
  • Coordinate onboarding with Human Resources and Training.
  • Document performance concerns and administer corrective action in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accountability for uniforms, radios, vests, keys, access credentials, and other company-issued equipment.
  • Conduct periodic equipment and uniform checks and coordinate recovery of company property when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in private security, law enforcement, military, or a related field.
  • Prior armed pistol experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong understanding of security operations and post-order requirements.
  • Ability to supervise and support a team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage schedules, staffing changes, documentation, and multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable licensing and guard card requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with company leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing contract-based services or multiple posts.
  • Previous scheduling or workforce coordination experience.
  • TrackTik experience preferred.
  • Experience with compliance tracking, electronic reporting, or timekeeping systems.
  • Experience working directly with clients or field leadership.
