Job summary

Pinnacle Charter School is seeking a contracted Event Technician to support on-site school events and external rentals. The contractor will report to the Theater Manager and choose events on an as-needed basis, primarily Fridays and weekends, with a pay range of $22.00–$28.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include setting up lighting, audio, and projection systems; running cues; handling rigging and backdrops; and ensuring safety and compliance with venue policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theatrical systems across disciplines.
• Familiarity with lighting, audio, and projection systems.
• Comfortable working at heights and with rigging practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lighting, audio, and projection systems for events.
• Hang, circuit, and focus lighting fixtures; program cues.
• Conduct sound checks and mix mics; play audio tracks.
• Project and verify renters' videos; execute projection shows.
• Assist with scenic elements and safe rigging practices.
• Set up furniture and backdrops; maintain cleanliness backstage.
• Tear down and store gear; alert management to safety concerns.
• Coordinate with facilities, custodial, and security staff.
