Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California is seeking an LVN to provide nursing care within the scope of practice and in accordance with physician orders and center policies.

The role includes infection control adherence, participation in quality improvement, patient and family education, timely administration of medications and treatments, and collaboration with physicians during rounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state of California.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
