Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Lead Application Developer in Austin for a 6–9 month contract, requiring onsite presence two days per week (Tuesday/Thursday). You will guide design, modernization, and support of web and mobile apps, while leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with offshore engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architecture leadership, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 8+ years developing web-based applications.
• 6+ years hands-on development with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Azure, SQL Server, T-SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of full-stack web and mobile applications across front-end, middle-tier, and backend technologies.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand application requirements and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Evaluate project scope, development effort, timelines, technical risks, and possible mitigation strategies.
• Design proofs of concept and prototypes when needed to validate new approaches.
• Coordinate development efforts across U.S.-based and offshore engineering teams.
• Bridge between business stakeholders and offshore developers to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
