Job summary

IDC seeks a Corporate Communications Specialist/Manager on a 4–5 month contract to manage internal employee communications and support sales/customer communications tied to product launches. The role blends strategic guidance with hands-on execution and onboarding alongside the employee on leave.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in corporate communications, strong writing/editing, and proven analytics. Hybrid or remote work options within the U.S. are possible during the contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate, internal, or employee communications.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with tone adaptation across audiences.
• Experience running internal virtual events such as Town Halls or webinars in Microsoft Teams.
• Proven reporting and analytics experience.
• Comfortable managing multiple ongoing programs and deadlines independently.
• Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with intranet platforms and email/newsletter tools.
• Able to start and ramp quickly.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global organization with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run internal webinars and Town Halls, including scheduling, event production, content coordination, speaker prep, logistics, and post-event reporting.
• Own the production of employee newsletters, from content curation through send.
• Draft, edit, and distribute emails to employees on news, policy updates, and announcements.
• Manage core IDC intranet content by publishing updates and keeping pages current.
• Provide consultative communications guidance for teams to support initiative goals.
• Maintain the corporate communications project tracker and reporting processes.
• Provide occasional communications support for product launches and transformation initiatives.
• Onboard alongside the employee you’ll be standing in for to learn existing programs and stakeholders.
• Maintain continuity of voice across programs during the coverage period.
• Document processes and handoff notes for a smooth transition at the end of the contract.
