Job summary

V-Soft Consulting is seeking a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid in Benton Harbor, MI to design and bring up embedded hardware. You will work on i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 platforms, and high‑speed interfaces (MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I2C, UART).

You’ll perform PCB layout and schematic work and ensure EMI/thermal compliance through testing and debugging. Experience in sensor integration, compliance testing (FCC/IC/CE/UL), and cost optimization is valued.

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid for our premier client Benton Harbor, MI.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware/electronics design and development.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong experience with i.MX8/i.MX9, ESP32, STM32 or similar processors/microcontrollers.
• Hands-on expertise with MIPI DSI/CSI, LVDS, HDMI, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and camera/display interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed design, Signal/Power Integrity, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC, and hardware debugging.
• Experience with sensor boards and integration of motion, temperature, light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors is a plus.
• Experience in board bring-up, lab testing, EDVT, functional/performance testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with FCC, IC, CE, UL certifications and resolving issues during compliance testing.
• Experience working with suppliers, PCB fabrication/assembly teams, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, Altium/Cadence, BOM, component selection, and cost optimization.
